Missions Involvement

We are involved in a number of mission projects, among them are:

1) Good News Club held at Newland elementary on Thursday afternoons.The Good News Club is part of the Child Evangelism Fellowship.  
2) We house and serve in the  Avery County Pregnancy & Resource Center located at 1808 Millers Gap Highway. The Avery Pregnancy & Resource Center is a Christian Ministry which exists to uphold the sanctity of human life by demonstrating the hope and love of Christ to women and men. 
3) We are an official drop off location for Samaritan’s Purse Operation Christmas Child Shoeboxes.Our center is open during the Operation Christmas Child collection week. 
4) We help support a church start up in Scotland through the Avery Baptist Association.
5) Our men’s and Women’s L.I.M.S. group (Life Lesson, Intercessory prayer, Missions, Sharing Jesus) conducts missions throughout our community
