Vision Statement
Vision Statement
It is our vision at Oak Grove Baptist Church to bring people to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ by actively seeking out the lost in our community, meeting their needs, showing them God’s love, and sharing God’s word. It is our desire that Oak Grove would be a vibrant, growing church strengthened through regular worship, preaching, teaching and prayer that would lead people of all ages to commit their lives to Christ. We intend to train and equip believers to be disciples who are actively engaged in the work of ministry.
Oak Grove will be involved in the community, looking for opportunities to serve individuals, families, teens and children through various service projects, vacation bible school, TeamKid, small groups and back yard bible clubs. We will work with other churches in our community to establish a Good News Club in our schools in hopes of developing a meaningful relationship with the children, introducing them to Jesus and getting them and their families involved in church. We will also work to establish a van ministry to reach children and individuals that need transportation to and from church services. We hope to increase our shoebox collection rate as we serve as an Operation Christmas Child drop off location. We also plan to continue packing shoeboxes as a church family and volunteering our time at the Boone processing center.
We challenge each church member to spend time in prayer asking God to show them how they can help their fellow church members carry out the vision. We seek to move forward together serving God with unity and purpose.
